Organic cotton fabrics
Organic cotton fabrics are grown without the use of environmentally harmful pesticides and herbicides. The best in eco-friendly fabrics. Organic and low impact dyed organic cottons. Beautiful, deep and rich colors. The Oasis heavy weight cottons are a soft canvas, have a nice hand and are suitable for both clothing and upholstery. The quilting fabrics are certified organic and are perfect for quilting. The bright colors and fun prints are great for make those environmentally friendly quilts, garments and baby clothes. Organic cotton is cultivated in fields free of pesticides or chemical fertilizers. To earn the designation of "Certified Organic," the cotton plants must have been grown in a field that has been pesticide-and chemical free for three previous years. The extra handling required to cultivate earth-friendly cotton makes it slightly more expensive, it is the preferred choice for those who are concerned about the environment, as well as consumers who suffer from allergies or chemical sensitivities.
